Postiz Cloud
What the hosted version gives you, and how it differs from self-hosting
Postiz Cloud runs the same open-source application you can host yourself, at platform.postiz.com. The difference is not the feature set, it is who does the work: the provider developer apps are already registered, the infrastructure is managed, and usage is metered against a plan.
There is no free plan
This surprises people, so it is worth stating plainly. On cloud, an organisation without a subscription cannot use the app: the interface is replaced by the plan picker until you subscribe. New organisations are normally offered a 7 day trial instead.
Self-hosted Postiz has no such gate.
Cloud vs self-hosted
| Postiz Cloud | Self-hosted | |
|---|---|---|
| Plans and limits | Enforced per plan | None, every install behaves as the top tier |
| Channel cap | Set by your plan | Effectively unlimited |
| Provider developer apps | Already registered, just click connect | You register each one and supply keys |
| AI images and video | Metered credits per plan | Needs your own OpenAI and generator keys |
| Billing, invoices, affiliate programme | Yes | Not applicable |
| Support | Email and Discord, both reach the team | Community Discord, no guaranteed response |
| Updates | Continuous | You upgrade when you choose |
| Data location | Managed by Postiz | Your infrastructure |

Everything about using the product, the calendar, the composer, channels, automations, is the same on cloud and self-hosted, so it lives in the guide.
