Manage a channel
Reconnect, rename, disable, delete, and everything in the channel menu
Where: Calendar, left sidebar, the ... menu on any channel
Almost everything you do to a channel after connecting it lives in one menu.
The channel menu

Reconnecting
Access tokens expire. When one does, the channel gets a red marker in the sidebar and its posts start failing. Clicking the marker, or Reconnect channel in the menu, re-runs authorisation and the channel resumes.
A few things to know:
- Reconnecting does not count as connecting a new channel, so it does not consume a channel slot on a cloud plan.
- Posts that already failed are not retried automatically. Reschedule them.
- Reconnect as the same account. Authorising a different account creates a mismatch between the channel's history and its new identity.
Disable vs delete
Disable takes a channel out of service. Its posts and history stay, and you can enable it again at any time. This is the right choice when you want to stop posting to a client's account, or, on cloud, when you need to free a slot.
Delete is permanent. Postiz refuses to delete a channel that still has posts attached:
You have to delete all the posts associated with this channel before deleting it
Delete those posts first, or disable the channel instead.
On self-hosted Postiz: there is no channel cap, so disabling is only about taking a channel out of service.
Bot picture and nickname
Some platforms let a post appear under a name and avatar that are not the account's own, Discord and Telegram most usefully. Change Bot Picture and Change Bot Nickname set those per channel, so a client's Discord posts can carry their branding rather than yours.
Additional settings
Platforms that carry channel-level options expose them here rather than in the composer, because they apply to every post on that channel rather than to one post. Not every platform has any.
