Third-party integrations
Pull generated media from external services into your posts
Where: the Integrations section
These are not social channels. They are external services that produce media, connected so you can pull their output into a post without downloading and re-uploading it.
Connecting one
Open Integrations
The Integrations entry in the left rail.
Pick the service and paste your API key
You supply your own key, so usage is billed by that service to you, not through Postiz.
Use it in the composer
The Import button in the attachments bar now offers that service. Pick a generated asset and it attaches to the post.
Connected services are listed in the sidebar, each with a Delete Integration option.
What is available
The current integrations are AI video services, HeyGen being the main one. Because each needs your own account and key, the exact list depends on what your instance has enabled.
How this differs from AI generation
| Third-party integration | Built-in AI | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | The external service | Postiz |
| Who pays | You, directly to that service | Your Postiz plan credits |
| What you get | Whatever that service produces | Images and video from Postiz's generators |
| Setup | Your API key | None on cloud |
Use a third-party integration when you already use that tool and want its output in your calendar. Use built-in AI when you just need an image or a short video and do not care which engine made it.
